Hand Dyed Floss

Floss - $1.50 per Skein (4+ yd)

Because our floss is hand-dyed and cold-water processed in very small lots for softness and sheen, the colors can vary from batch to batch. We like the color variations as each lot has it's own character, making each stitched piece unique. Our multi-color floss lots are random in nature, so there is no "assembly line" look to our floss. Our solid colors have subtle tonal changes and will give your stitched piece depth and texture. We have a full range of beautiful bright colors to pick from. Go ahead and add some creativity to your stitched pieces! 

(We have recently gone through a "theme" change at Ozark Sampler and renamed some of our floss colors. Same great colors...but with a new name. We have also listed the old names.)

About our fibers...

Floss - Our 6-ply cotton floss starts out life as white DMC cotton floss and then we hand dye it in beautiful tonal and multi-color shades. As with all hand-dyed fibers, some colors may not be colorfast and we do not recommend washing. We dye in small lots, so color will vary slightly from lot to lot. 

No Hand Dyed Fibers, including ours, should be considered color fast. We DO NOT recommend washing. If you plan to wash your finished piece, do a rinse test BEFORE stitching to make sure there won't be any color loss. Rinse the floss in cool water and then lay on a white paper towel to dry.
